What is a Balance
In Anma, a treatment is called a balance—because the goal isn’t just to fix one issue, but to bring your whole body back into harmony.
You’ll stay fully clothed throughout, so loose, comfortable clothing like gym or yoga wear is ideal. At your first visit, we’ll take time to talk—about what’s been going on, how you’re feeling, and what you’d like to achieve. This is your space to be heard. From there, I’ll begin to build a deeper understanding of your body using observation, gentle palpation, and muscle testing—all explained clearly as we go.
A balance is interactive. I’ll talk you through what I’m doing and why, so you can better understand what’s happening in your body and what may have led to the issue in the first place. You’re encouraged to ask questions at any point—this awareness is often a key part of the healing process.
Rather than a one-off fix, balances are usually built over a series of sessions, allowing your body the time and support it needs to make lasting changes. You may also be given simple, practical suggestions to help your progress between visits—small steps that can make a big difference.
Many people notice a shift straight away. For others, changes continue to unfold over the following days as the body adjusts, this might feel like deep relaxation, a boost in energy, or even a temporary sense of tiredness. All are normal responses to your body recalibrating.
After your session, drinking plenty of water is recommended. It helps keep your body hydrated and supports the natural processes that follow a balance, leaving you feeling clearer, lighter, and more aligned.
